About JINS & JIPS
Jahan Institute of Nursing Sciences (JINS) and Jahan Institute of Para Medical Sciences (JIPS) were established in 2019 by a team of highly experienced medical and nursing professionals with over 25 years of clinical and academic expertise in healthcare and medical education. Managed by Prerana Educational and Charitable Trust (PECT), a not-for-profit organization, the institutions provide a conducive learning environment to develop skilled and disciplined healthcare professionals. Their mission is to foster holistic education that emphasizes individual growth, discipline, integrity, ethics, and social responsibility.

Academics & Infrastructure
JINS and JIPS are equipped with a team of well-qualified and dedicated faculty members who strive to provide high-quality education while giving personal attention to students. The institutions feature spacious, well-equipped classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories to enhance hands-on learning experiences.

Hostel & Student Facilities
JINS ensures a ‘home away from home’ experience for students through its well-maintained hostels, offering the best possible comfort. Accommodations are provided in shared rooms, with allocations based on the level of concentration and privacy required. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, with a common mess serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Additional facilities include sports amenities, guest rooms for parents, Wi-Fi access, and 24×7 CCTV surveillance for enhanced security.

Library & Digital Resources
The Jahan Library boasts a vast collection of books, reference materials, national and international journals, e-books, and multimedia resources. The institution has also subscribed to Helinet e-Books of RGUHS, ensuring 24×7 digital access to a wide range of health journals, research databases, and peer-reviewed articles. These resources are web-based and can be accessed anytime.

Clinical Training & Hospital Affiliations
JINS provides extensive clinical training through its parent hospital, Jayashree Multi-Specialty Hospital, a 100-bedded NABH-accredited facility dedicated exclusively to student training. The institution is also affiliated with:

Government General Hospital, Anekal (100-bedded, with specialty departments)
Primary Health Centre, Marasur (for rural community health experience)
CHC Anekal (for urban community health training)

Transportation & Student Support Services
To facilitate smooth travel, JINS offers transportation services between the institute, hostels, hospitals, and community health centers, as well as for observational visits in and around Bangalore. Additionally, counseling and guidance services are provided by faculty members to assist students with academic and personal concerns.

Healthcare & Medical Assistance
Basic healthcare services for students are available at Oxford Medical College Hospital and Government Hospital, Marasur, both of which are located in close proximity to the institution.

Nursing

Course Overview – General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program is a comprehensive three-year diploma course designed to equip students with essential skills in nursing, general healthcare, and midwifery. The curriculum includes three years of academic training, followed by a mandatory six-month internship to provide hands-on clinical experience. This program enhances career prospects by preparing graduates for diverse roles in healthcare. Upon successful completion, candidates are eligible to register as a nurse or midwife with the State Nursing Registration Council.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the GNM program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Completion of 10+2 (Pre-University) or an equivalent qualification, with English as an optional subject. (Preference is given to candidates from a science background.)
A minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
The age requirement for admission is between 17 to 35 years.

This structured program provides a strong foundation for aspiring nursing professionals, ensuring they are well-prepared to serve in hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare settings.

Course Overview – B.Sc. Nursing

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate program divided into eight semesters, designed to provide in-depth theoretical and practical training in nursing. The course aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health services.

Candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board, with a Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects), are eligible to apply for this program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Must have passed 10+2 (Pre-University) or an equivalent qualification, recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main science subjects.
A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the above subjects is required for general category students. However, for reserved categories (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe), the minimum aggregate required is 40%.
The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory.
A physical fitness certificate must be submitted at the time of admission. Additionally, upon admission, a health check-up and physical examination will be conducted at Jayashree Multi-Specialty Hospital.

The Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) is a two-year diploma program designed for students interested in the paramedical field. This program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist in the functioning and operations of surgical and treatment equipment used by doctors and specialists in hospitals and laboratories.

Students from the science stream can pursue this course immediately after completing Class 12. The curriculum focuses on understanding the importance, functioning, usage, and applications of various medical equipment, as well as assisting surgeons during medical procedures. With the healthcare industry rapidly expanding, there is an increasing demand for skilled professionals in this field, offering promising career opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Must have passed II PUC (12th grade) with Science subjects – PCB, PCMB, or CBZ (Course duration: 2 years + 6 months internship).
Candidates who have passed II PUC in non-science subjects or SSLC/10th grade can also apply (Course duration: 3 years + 6 months internship).
Preference will be given to candidates trained in English typing or basic computer knowledge.
The minimum age for admission is 15 years as of 31st December of the admission year, and the upper age limit is 35 years. However, for in-service candidates and SC/ST applicants, the upper age limit is 40 years.
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
A physical fitness certificate is required at the time of admission. Additionally, all admitted students will undergo a health check-up and physical examination at Jayashree Multi-Specialty Hospital.
