BPT at Shantidhama College of Nursing
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a full-time program designed to provide comprehensive, hands-on education, emphasizing client-centered care, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice.
Curriculum Structure
🔹 Year I – Focus on foundational human biosciences, understanding body systems, and the role of health professionals in healthcare.
🔹 Year II – Introduction to core physiotherapy skills and deeper exploration of biosciences, including pathology and pharmacology.
🔹 Years III & IV – Application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in physiotherapy management for various disorders across different life stages.
Throughout the program, students refine practical skills in simulated environments and through peer practice, particularly during the pre-clinical semesters.
Examination & Assessment
✔ Internal Assessments – Three periodic sessional exams in each academic year; the average score is converted to 20 (theory) and 10 (practical). Students must secure 35% in both theory and practicals to qualify for university exams.
✔ University Exams – Held at the end of each academic year (typically in Sep-Oct). Main subjects are evaluated by the university, while subsidiary subjects are assessed by the college.
✔ Passing Criteria – Main subjects require 50% marks in both theory and practicals (including viva and internal assessment). Subsidiary subjects require 35% marks.

Eligibility Criteria
✅ For Indian Students:
- Age: 17-35 years
- Academic Qualification: 10+2 (Pre-University) with 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (English medium)
